Gongtie Launches New Dual-Spindle, Dual-Turret CNC Lathe with Interpolating Y-Axis

On June 2, 2025, the technical team at Gongtie successfully developed and unveiled a new-generation CNC machine tool: a dual-spindle, dual-turret lathe with an interpolating Y-axis and double box guideway structure, designed to redefine multitasking machining capabilities.

Dual-Turret CNC Lathe

The dual-spindle synchronous operation enables simultaneous machining of two workpieces or different sections of complex parts, dramatically enhancing processing efficiency. Equipped with dual turrets, the machine accommodates a wide range of tools for turning, milling, drilling, and tapping. These processes can all be completed in a single clamping, effectively eliminating errors caused by repeated part repositioning or tool changes.

Both spindles feature Gongtie’s self-developed built-in direct-drive electric spindles:

  • Main spindle: 15 kW power, max torque 260 Nm
  • Sub spindle: 13.4 kW power, max torque 120 Nm

The turrets are configured with a BMT45 15-station turret on the main side and a BMT45 12-station turret on the sub side, providing maximum flexibility for tool layout.

Key precision components, including all ball screws and roller guideways, are sourced directly from Taiwan PMI, while bearings are high-grade Japan NTN P4 level, ensuring excellent stability, precision, and durability.

The machine is currently equipped with a complete FANUC 0i TF PLUS CNC system. With its large through-hole design, strong rigidity, and robust construction, this model delivers performance far exceeding typical entry-level multitasking lathes — making it an ideal first step for customers looking to adopt multi-process, multi-tasking CNC equipment at a reasonable cost.

Gongtie will continue to develop high-performance, high-reliability solutions to support our customers’ needs for advanced, efficient, and intelligent machining. Stay tuned for more updates on our innovations!
