Ningbo Gongtie Shines at CCMT 2026 with the MDY0850-S Turning & Milling Centre

The 14th China CNC Machine Tool Exhibition (CCMT2026) has successfully concluded in Shanghai. Ningbo Gongtie Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. exhibited at Stand B481 in Hall N5, making a grand debut with its flagship model, the MDY0850-S dual-spindle turning-milling centre. The company showcased comprehensive, one-stop precision composite machining solutions, attracting significant attention from both within and outside the industry thanks to the exceptional capabilities of its equipment.

The MDY0850-S is specifically designed for the machining of highly complex, high-precision shaft components. Equipped with front and rear dual spindles paired with a high-precision powered turret, it integrates multiple processes—turning, milling, drilling, boring and gear hobbing—into a single machine, enabling complete workpiece finishing with a single clamping.

At the exhibition, the machine performed live machining of a long, three-dimensional relief-patterned shaft workpiece, vividly demonstrating its outstanding machine rigidity, micron-level machining accuracy and ability to form intricate, complex surfaces. This attracted a large number of buyers from the automotive components, medical devices, precision moulds and export processing sectors, who stopped to observe the demonstration and engage in in-depth discussions.

The model’s four core strengths comprehensively empower precision manufacturing:

1. Seamless dual-spindle integration: Simultaneous machining at both ends of the workpiece completely eliminates repeat positioning errors caused by re-clamping, significantly improving the yield rate of long-axis components;

2. High-power precision power turret: Supports diverse processes such as indexing milling, side drilling, irregular grooves and three-dimensional relief machining, eliminating the need for transfer to a machining centre for secondary processing and thereby shortening production cycles;

3. Integrated, high-rigidity slant bed: The machine’s cast components undergo thorough ageing treatment, ensuring excellent vibration resistance during heavy-duty cutting; this enables stable and durable batch processing of various materials, including stainless steel, alloy steel and aluminium alloys;

4. Standardised automated expansion interfaces: These allow for rapid integration with gantry robots and automatic feeding mechanisms, enabling the swift establishment of fully automated, flexible production lines to meet the mass production demands of large-volume export orders.

At the exhibition, Gongtie’s technical and sales teams engaged in in-depth discussions with domestic and international buyers, tailoring bespoke machining processes for specific applications such as new energy drive shafts, precision aerospace components and high-end bathroom fittings. Several agreements for sample testing and bulk procurement were reached on-site.

With this year’s Shanghai CCMT having concluded successfully, Ningbo Gongtie has finalised its exhibition plans and will be exhibiting at the 20th China International Machine Tool Exhibition (CIMT), to be held in Beijing in 2027. At that time, the company will showcase the upgraded MDY series of turning-milling composite machines and a new generation of flexible automated production lines, as it expands its presence in the northern heavy industry and precision component machining markets.
