● Gantry loader action descripion
Gantry loader action descripion：
1、Manually place the raw parts blanks into the tray stocking;
2、The automatic production line starts the normal cycle;
3、The gantry loader grabs the blank workpiece from the tray stocking and then places the finished product down;
4、Then it moves to the lathe for loading;
5、Then it leaves the lathe and goes to the stacking pallet to pick up and unloding;
6、The cycle begins.
● Cycle time
Note: From the above table, we know that the cycle time of automation is 24 seconds, and the time for the gantry loader to load and unload 10 seconds (excluding the time for fixture cleaning), so when the machining time is more than 14 seconds, there will be no situation where the lathe waits for the gantry loader.

● Description of key functional components
- Gantry loader mechanism gripper unit
According to the processing technological requirements of the workpiece, in this project, the gantry loader manipulator adopts a non-standard dual-station design with a 90-degree swing gripper system. A standard two-finger pneumatic gripper is used to hold the parts, meeting the requirements for grabbing parts and changing materials inside the machine tool. The gripper is equipped with sensors for detecting the presence or absence of the workpiece and sensors for detecting the clamping and releasing status of the gripper. The gripper has the function of preventing the workpiece from falling in case of air supply interruption or power failure. The structural schematic diagram of the manipulator gripper is as follows (whether the gripper uses internal expansion or external clamping shall be subject to the signed drawing).

2. Storage method：Pallet stocking in drawer
The pallet stocking in drawer achieves the goals of large storage capacity and high replacement efficiency by means of a lifting trolley. Each drawer trolley is equipped with two feeding trolleys, which meets the requirement of being ready for real-time feeding. Each trolley can hold eight layers of material trays.
